This is Good Ground
Helmut Boehm served as the Executive Director for over 32 years and passed the baton to Jason Roberts nearly 8 years ago. It has been incredible to see these two carry the same passion for people, the same commitment to the Lord, and the same honour, respect, and humility towards each other. There is a clear culture here of honouring the past and doing what it takes to create a better future, with valuable lessons learned along the way.
Over these 40 years we have experienced quite a few changes; for one, how we build has changed. The construction landscape isn't exactly the same as it was in the 80's.
Napkin drawings and a good strong handshake don't exactly cover our bases anymore.
So we have made some adjustments. We partnered with Site Lines Architecture to design our building and Titan Construction to make it a tangible place. Working with professionals has enabled us to meet regulations, build effectively and efficiently, and steward our resources the best way possible with the next 40 years in mind. We worked with the Agricultural Land Reserve to be approved for two non-farm use buildings and house 120 people on our 45 acres.
To ensure the confidence of our team and our donors, we have built a sustainability plan to ensure that when this building is standing tall, our organization is ready for the growth and we can keep our authentic 'farmily' feel. We have improved our financial practices to build transparency and trust with our donors. We have built a solid qualified team that work and serve at Wagner Hills, increasing the quality of care and service we provide our clients.
Honestly, we could go on and on about how much we have done… but we are most excited about what’s to come!
